About the project
Skoolbook is a comprehensive school management platform that digitises the full student journey from classroom to home. Teachers manage attendance, assignments, and academic records; administrators oversee campus operations; students track their learning progress — and parents stay informed at every step. Rather than treating each group as a separate product, Skoolbook unifies all four stakeholders on a single connected platform with role-aware experiences designed to match each user's actual daily workflow.
The Challenge
School management software is traditionally desktop-first and institution-centric, leaving students and parents as passive recipients of information rather than active participants. Skoolbook needed to be genuinely useful to all four stakeholder groups with distinct workflows that felt native to each role — without fragmenting into four separate products that would be expensive to maintain and confusing to deploy at scale.
Our Solution
We built a unified codebase with a role-based experience layer that routes users into their tailored environment immediately after authentication. A shared notification infrastructure keeps all parties in sync — assignment deadlines, grade releases, attendance alerts, and school announcements are surfaced through contextual push notifications targeted by role. Onboarding was designed to guide each user type to their first meaningful action within 60 seconds of login.
